MCRS Annual General Meeting!

Thank you to all who came to our Annual General Meeting held February 3 at Conrad Grebel University College!

We had a wonderful morning of interacting and sharing about an extraordinary 30th anniversary year! We also shared about the opportunities ahead as we address the challenges and celebrations we anticipate in 2018.

Our guest speaker, Dr. Vinh Nguyen (2017 recipient of the John Charles Polanyi Prize in Literature) inspired us to think about the influence of the refugee narrative on policy, relationship and community engagement.  He called us to reflect on our human solidarity and our cosmopolitan responsibility to each other as we navigate a time of global movement of people, and what it means to be a country that welcomes refugees. We look forward to hearing more in the future from Dr. Nguyen as he continues his research and shares outcomes with us!
