I began working with MCRS in 2016. It is an incredible privilege to work with a team so committed to providing welcome and much needed assistance to people seeking refuge in Canada.

I am humbled by the people who come to us from over 30 different countries, hoping to build new lives here, safe at last from the violence and threat to life and well-being they and their families faced.

I am deeply thankful for the many people who support the work of MCRS. We could not do what we do without you!

“I began working with MCRS as a Caseworker in February of 2016. As an immigrant from Nepal, I am thrilled to be able to meet and work with many people from different parts of the world. What I do makes a real difference for people!

I graduated with a Master’s degree in Social work from Wilfrid Laurier University and also a Master’s degree in Population Studies and Anthropology from Nepal. If you have any questions about the refugee claimant process or how you can get involved please feel free to contact me at anytime!”

“I started with MCRS in 2011 as a volunteer and from the beginning I have been constantly amazed at the resilience and courage shown by the people I have been lucky enough to meet. I consider my time with MCRS to be some of the best years of my life in that I have had the privilege of walking alongside people from all over the world and have seen families reunited after years of separation. What motivates me to continue this work is the people MCRS assists and seeing the difference that support makes in their lives. I have a background in legal studies and Peace and Conflict studies and a passion for legal work. If you have any questions, or I can be of assistance, please feel free to contact me!”
