Welcome Package

The Welcome Package program is designed to provide support to newly arrived refugee claimant families and individuals. This is done through having emergency resources to help the refugee claimants in the initial moments as they navigate their new community. Simply being able to get from where they are staying to an immigration medical or other appointment can be a challenge. So through the Welcome Package MCRS provides bus tickets and a bus map. MCRS is updating our refugee claimant guide which will be translated into English, Spanish, French and Arabic. In certain emergency circumstances MCRS is also able to provide food vouchers and toiletries in emergencies. The goal of the Welcome Package is to provide basic necessities to support refugee claimants in their new environment.
