MCRS Community Events
These events are facilitated in collaboration with local churches, organizations and volunteers.We are currently looking for church groups or other groups interested in coordinating and preparing food, games, and children's activities for these events. As part of building community and incorporating refugees into the community, MCRS hosts celebrations which include a summer picnic and a winter party, cultural programs, games for families, and volunteer recognition events. Each December and July MCRS hosts a Winter Party and a Summer Picnic, these events are designed to connect refugee claimants and the community. The events have presentations, dances, singing, and food. We hope to increase the connections between the community and refugee claimants at these events, so we encourage all community members to attend!
